There are many opportunities to promote and participate in a more culturally vibrant world, particularly when it involves educational programs that inspire youth and empower women. My specialization is in managing perceptibly huge problems of inferiority, stagnation, and intolerance issues that are proven divisive in our communities and deprive us of the potential for growth. As unfairness goes so goes the community…the schools, the churches and its people.
For example—In Mississippi, where I currently reside, it is considered the most southern region of the world. It is still a fact that when Whites have public or social gatherings the perception among Blacks is that they are exclusively for Whites. And, when Blacks have events the reverse is true. Neither are comfortable in coming together to support the other financially, culturally, and especially religiously. Suffice it to say, it is invigorating to think about the opportunities that will exist when we become a society united under one God.
My passion is to serve my community, wherever I reside; by working to enrich and enlighten people, through the arts and creative ventures of writing, publishing and producing events by for and about our children…our future.
My goal is to work with community stakeholders that facilitate "a merging of the minds," particularly in Mississippi, for the sake of inspiring our children to take on the challenge of becoming more responsible, more productive and most importantly fairer human beings than their predecessors.
My objective is to remain a soldier on the front lines of the “arts in education” struggle, as a professor and a facilitator of cultural advocacy around the world.
I’ve held faculty positions in Barbados, W.I., Washington, DC, Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay Area and Choctaw and Winston counties in Mississippi.
My belief is children are brilliant; that is what drives me. I only hope that others will join in the campaign to nurture and embrace them; so that they may demonstrate how truly magnificent they are...and how they are the most enlightened among us!
I invite your support, in future public events, social gatherings and churches that allow our young people to show their enjoyment, excitement, enthusiasm and confidence about life…let’s work towards greater possibilities.
Looking forward to seeing you somewhere in the whirlwind soon!
